Radiohead’s Thom Yorke & Jonny Greenwood
May 25, 2022

Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood, members of the most iconic rock bands in the world, Radiohead, briefly touched upon their remote recording process with Source-Connect, recently appeared on a SmartLess podcast episode with Will Arnett.

Here’s an excerpt from the SmartLess podcast episode!

Thom Yorke: [Smile] came about really quickly and painfully long, we got into a studio (…) and it felt like they had tracked 4 things. Lockdown happened shortly after, and then I was left with what had been recorded on tape, which was fine (…) and then I was set to puzzle out the lyrics for a very long time locked in a house. It got sort of protracted and protracted, it was deeply frustrating, but it’s been the same for everybody. I had to figure out a way to record vocals (…) over the internet and straight into Nigel’s studio, and that was pretty wild, virtually into a studio.

Will Arnett: Did you do that on an ISDN or Source-Connect?

Thom Yorke: Yeah, Source-Connect, but anything after 4 o’clock forget it because that’s when the kids come from school.
