Report from Bill Oxley, from the Voiceover Ranch

"We are using to raise awareness and increase donations to Habitat for Humanity in our area.

Source-Connect Now gives us the liberty to produce live remote broadcasts from local businesses who support Habitat for Humanity. We take the Habitat Donation Trailer to the retailer and conduct the show. Folks come by to drop off used items Habitat for Humanity resells in its ReStore. The retailer benefits from new people who come by. It's a win-win for all.

Source-Connect Now is a stable, high-quality audio platform that we use to send voice, music and promos back to our local station for broadcast.

Here are some cool photos of recent remote broadcasts in Cottage Grove, Oregon I did for the Cottage Grove Area Habitat for Humanity. The first three are from Rogers and Son. I did their live broadcast two weeks ago. The next two pictures are from Jim's Tire Factory. I did their live broadcast last week....and the next live broadcast will be from South Lane Fire and Rescue headquarters."

The tech:

The Source-Connect Now signal is received by the radio station, ready for live broadcast.

  • Fujitsu laptop running Windows 7.
  • Henry Engineering Matchbox II USB-to-XLR multi-mode stereo audio codec
  • Ethernet cable to Charter Communications Business data service (landline)
