Source-Connect Certification

What is Certification?
Certification means that remote Source-Connect users can be confident in establishing a quality connection with you. We analyze your bandwidth, Pro Tools set-up (e.g. CPU speed, Pro Tools version etc) and confirm that your configuration is sufficient to successfully broadcast and receive to anywhere in the world. When you connect to another certified user, you can conduct your session with confidence. This service is included for fully licensed users of Source-Connect Pro, and is available for only $75.00 for Source-Connect Standard users. (includes full support as required).

Why would I get Certified?
When potential clients are looking for someone in your location, they will know immediately from viewing your profile that you have a strong connection, and that you fully understand how to use Source-Connect to its fullest potential.

How do I get Certified?
Certification is available for any purchased user of Source-Connect Pro (or with additional $75.00 fee for Source-Connect Standard). You contact us with a certification request, and we will then arrange a time with you when you have at least 30 minutes to work with us. We'll connect with you, and work with you to ensure you are getting the most out of your network environment. Once you are confident that your system is optimized, you'll be certified!

What if I work in remote locations?
Since mobile setups can vary depending on which ISP you connect to, certification is only available for fixed locations. In this case you can label yourself as mobile, or 'remote'. It's up to you to verify that your connection is suitable for your mobile session needs. We always recommend taking extra time to set-up during mobile sessions, to set your bitrate, buffer and resilience settings as appropriate for your location. You can use the online tools such as those available at http://www.dslreports.com/stest to help you determine whether you and your remote connection has sufficient bandwidth to establish a quality session.
